Hi, I'm Adam Hoek. I started Portland Bookkeeping Solutions because I know how much pressure small business owners carry. When you’re busy running the day-to-day, bookkeeping can easily turn into one more thing hanging over your head.

My goal is to make that part easier. When you work with me, I aim to keep things clear, organized, and dependable from month to month. You won't get a one size fits all approach here. Just honest, accurate, and personalized bookkeeping you can count on.

How I Work

Simple, remote, and responsive

Everything happens online, so there are no boxes of receipts to drop off and no office visits. You can reach me whenever a question comes up.

  • I work remotely through a simple, cloud-based process.
  • I'm available by phone, Google Meet, and email. Most communication is handled by email, so it's easy to refer back to.
  • Your books are kept in QuickBooks Online, so you can access them anytime.
  • Documents are submitted through a secure upload link provided during onboarding.

I focus only on bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online, so your books get my full attention. Taxes and payroll are handled by people who specialize in them. Here’s how it all fits together.

Taxes

Preparing and filing your taxes is best handled by a CPA. I make their job easier by giving them clean, organized books and the reports they need.

Payroll

I recommend a dedicated payroll service like Gusto, ADP, or Paychex to pay your team. I don’t run payroll, but I record it in your books so everything matches.
